Sunday – January 23rd   |   Daniel Schoenwald’s Private Collection

Let’s kick the year off by viewing one of the very best private collections in Southern California!  We’ll meet at Cafe 50’s located 11623 Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles (just west of the 405 Freeway) for a little tire kicking and breakfast of course if interested. We’ll take Pacific Coast Highway out to Camarillo to view Daniel’s collection. The grill will be hot and ready for our arrival. Let’s show a little love for Cafe 50’s and try to have a little breakfast to support their business. Ride departs at 10AM sharp.

 

Sunday – February 20th   |   Ojai Pilgrimage 

Enjoy the cool weather as we take the back roads out of Moorpark to Ojai for a visit with Glen Bator, see his shop and collection and lunch to follow at Boccali’s. Meet at Cactus Patch Café located at 197 E High Street in Moorpark. Ride departs at 9AM sharp.

 

Sunday – March 20th  |   Rock Inn Loop

Join us a for beautiful one day ride by way of Green Valley to the Rock Inn for lunch. Meet at the Hansen Dam parking lot entrance on Foothill. Ride departs at 9AM sharp.

 

Saturday & Sunday  April 23rd – 24th   |  Old Town Temecula / Julian

For April, we have a special two-day ride planned to Julian by way of Old Town Temecula. Meet Saturday morning at the Swing Inn Cafe located at 28676 Old Town Front Street in Temecula. Details for this ride and lodging to follow for those that are interested in staying Saturday night, so stay tuned. 

 

Friday – Sunday June 3rd – 5th   |   Morro Bay  / Cayucos

We are changing things up this year and taking a break from our usual Cambria / Carmel route. Details for this ride and lodging to follow, so stay tuned. 

 

Saturday – July 16th    |   Prince of Darkness – Night Ride

Charge up the batteries, you’ll need ‘em…this is our annual “night ride” over the Mulholland Hills to Bob’s Big Boy in Toluca Lake for a bite to eat. Meet at the Los Feliz Café located at 3207 Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Angeles.  Ride departs at 8PM sharp.

 

Saturday – August 20th   |   Taco Truck Night at the Chilao School

Since we missed the 2020 & 2021 events, we are back on for 2022! Join the Norton club as we brave the darkness of Hwy 2 and risk our lives…all for a few free tacos! Crazy you say? Meet at the Shell station located at Hwy 2 & 210 for an exciting twilight ride up the hill where we will have a taco truck waiting for us at the Chilao School (just past the Maintenance Station, entrance on the left, 2 miles south of Newcomb’s Ranch) courtesy of the Norton Club and our incredible and extremely gracious host, Corina Roberts. We’ll head down around 9PM or so assisted by a nice full moon.  Ride departs the Shell Station at 7PM sharp.

 

Friday – Sunday September 9th – 11th    |   High Sierra Ride

Taking it back to Mariposa as our starting point with a new route. Club headquarters/meet location will be The Miner’s Inn. Plan to arrive on Friday night and check out Sunday. A reservation code will be provided to get our reduced Norton Club rate, so stay tuned. Ride departs at 9AM both days.

 

Sunday – October 9th   |   Frazier Park

This is a great one-day ride through the beautiful region of Frazier Park. Meet at Big John’s Mountain Grill located at 3121 Mount Pinos Way in Frazier Park. Come early for breakfast, kick tires, etc.  Ride departs at 10AM sharp.

 

Sunday – November 6th   |   43rd Annual Hansen Dam Ride Event

Clean up that Classic British motorcycle and get it ready for the road and attend the largest Classic Motorcycle event of the year in Southern California. We have a 75+ mile mapped out, feel free to come by as early as 8AM for coffee and donuts, after the ride we’ll have the grill fired up and will be serving lunch. Meet at the lower lot of Hansen Dam on Dronfield (off Osborne). Riders on British Iron will receive free Hansen Dam ride pins! Ride departs at 10AM sharp.

 

Saturday – December 31st    |   New Year’s Eve – Run for the Roses 

Our final ride of the year…always fun! Meet at Lucky Baldwin’s Trappiste located at 1770 East Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena. We’ll ride up to Chilao School if weather permits (just past the Maintenance Station, entrance on the left, a few miles south of Newcomb’s Ranch) courtesy of the Norton Club and our incredible and extremely gracious host, Corina Roberts.  Ride Maps will be handed out prior to departure.  Take your classic motorcycle out for the last day of the year and enjoy this fantastic ride in our backyard!  Southern California Norton Owners Club 2021 Run for the Roses pins will be handed out to all riders!  Ride departs at 10AM sharp.

The Norton club has never cancelled a ride due to a weather FORECAST. If, however, at the scheduled time of departure the folks who do show up for breakfast decide not to ride due to rain, snow or…, then the ride may be re-scheduled, most likely for the following week.
